The Rustenburg Local Municipality is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Godfrey Ditsele, new Chief Financial Officer who assumed office from 18thFebruary 2019.
Godfrey Ditsele hails from Silverkraans village in the Moses Kotane region.
He is a qualified chartered accountant by profession and brings over 10 years of experience in the public sector audit. He joins RLM from the Auditor General (SA) North west, where he served as trainee accountant to senior manager level.
Included in the list of major projects worked on is the audit of African Union in Ethiopia. Besides accounting and audit technical skills, his passion and drive in people development and drive for impactful change, would go a long way in rejuvenating the morale of his staff and positive turnaround of the department and the municipality. He is also involved in social integrated support and development programmes in the local communities as the current chairperson of the Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of Southern Africa (ABASA) North West, an organisation that aims to contribute in transforming the accounting profession.
