Notice is hereby given to members of the public in terms of Section 19 (b) of the Local Government Municipal Systems Act of 2000, as amended, as well as Section 31 (i) of the Local Government Structures Act of 1998, as amended, about the special meeting of Council, scheduled as follows:

The 2017/2018 Budget and IDP will be further debated for adoption. All interested persons and parties are welcome to attend.

Kindly be notified that we are currently experiencing electricity outage in most areas of our Municipality, due to an unforeseen circumstance, namely; an explosion on one of our transformers this morning, leading to multiple trips at the Eskom Sub-station.

Our Technicians are currently busy at the Sub-station, trying to restore power as soon as possible. However, given the complexity of the situation, it is anticipated that it may take a while to restore power in most parts of the city and its environs, about a day or two in some areas, as a new transformer is being installed.

The Municipality sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused.

This notice serves to inform you that the Municipality’s licensing and testing office is currently experiencing difficulties, thus affecting residents negatively as they attempt to acquire services, due to the two national systems used in municipalities, namely; Tazima and e-NATIS being dysfunctional.

The Municipality has embarked on talks with the provincial and national departments of Transport with the objective to meeting the challenge and restoring the situation to normality very soon.

Please be advised that the Consulting Engineers, responsible for the electrical reticulation on the R24 Road Construction have requested an outage to Normalize the feeder cables which were Abnormal during the construction of the road. The outage is requested for the 30/03/2017 and is estimated to take 7hrs from 0800H- 1500H. Affected areas will be from KFC up to the Hunters Rest hotel along the R24 Road.

The Rustenburg Local Municipality hereby informs residents of Million DollarBoitekong extensions, Seraleng, Sondela, RamochanaincludingRustenburg Correctional Services of the emergency water supply interruption on 10th March 2017. The interruption is necessary and it is anticipated to last from 7am until19:00pm. This is due to repair work that will be done on the pipeline supplying water to these areas. During this period consumers will experience low water pressure or have no water at all.

The RustenburgLocalMunicipality appeals to all consumers to take the necessary precautions. Please take note that water tankers will be available to supply water during the period of water interruption. The Municipality further appeals to the residents to use water sparingly and apologises for any inconvenience that will be caused.
