It is with sadness and shock to learn of the passing on of two (2) miners who used to work for Impala Platinum mines, as a result of an accident on duty.
I take this moment on behalf of Council to convey our sincere condolences to the bereaved members of families, friends and colleagues of the deceased. We reassure and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that mine safety is adhered to, by working together with mines in achieving this matter of life and death, as stipulated in the mines’ Social labour Plans (SLP’s).
May their souls rest in eternal peace.
