PLANNED WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION (BOITEKONG)

The Rustenburg Local Municipality hereby informs residents of Million Dollar Boitekong x1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 22, 23, Ramochana including Correctional Services of the planned water supply interruption on the 23rd May 2013. The interruption is anticipated to last from 20:00pm until 2am. This is due to a repair work that needs to be done on the 700mm water pipeline which supplies water to Boitekong extensions including other areas. During this period consumers will experience low water pressure or have no water at all.  

Rustenburg Local Municipality signs electricity supply agreement with Ferrochrome

Rustenburg: An electricity supply milestone was reached when two parties, namely; Rustenburg Local Municipality, represented by Municipal Manager, Dr Kiddo Mako, and Ferrochrome Furnaces ( Pty ) Ltd, represented by  Director, Mr Ashruf Kaka, signed a legally binding supply agreement, on the 17th May 2013, wherein, it was agreed that the Municipality shall supply electricity to Ferrochrome in bulk for industrial purposes as three –phase alternating current at a frequency of 50Hz, from Industries substation at a declared voltage of 33kV, subject to Regulation 9 ( 3 ) of the Electricity Act, 1
